neuromodulated inheritance lab
The Wasson Lab aims to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms involved in cross-generational signaling. We study how the perception of different environments drive the mechanisms that govern what information is opted for communication to offspring. Our lab uses a combination of genetic, systems biology, neurobiology, and genomic approaches to understand epigenetic inheritance mechanisms.

from external cues to internal states: tuning of inherited information

What environmental signals do parents detect that can influence communication across generations?
How do parents first perceive environmental cues and then process them?

How do offspring interpret inherited information based on parental perception?
